Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Sales Executive to join a well-established provider of air, sea and road freight management services across the UK and Europe who are based in the Garrett’s Green area of Birmingham.

As a Sales Executive you will be promoting the companies service across Air/Sea/Road freight, calling both lapsed and new prospect clients with a view to obtain an appointment for one of the business development managers to visit.

Main Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Conducting a minimum of 40 calls per day to lapsed customers from a mixture of databases
  • Securing business appointments over the telephone for business development managers to visit
  • Efficiently distribute spot quote requests to the operational team and follow up gain the job, or get feedback on price quoted.
  • Entering data onto the appointment record to for the relevant BDM’s calendar. This is to include full address, postcode and qualification information
  • Ensure incoming emails are handled efficiently
  • Follow up all literature sent out by post/email, with a call, in view to obtain an appointment
  • Research and prospect for new customers via the internet
  • Assisting with getting pricing in for larger projects and deals created by the sales organisation
  • Using the internet to source new potential carriers for our carrier database

You MUST have at least 1 years’ experience within the freight forwarding sector with an excellent telephone manner.

Training will be provided.

Working Hours & Salary:
This will be a full time role working Monday – Friday 9am until 5.30pm
Annual salary will be dependent on experience £18,000 – £21,000 with a bonus scheme after the probationary period
