Job Description

Seeking an Internal Sales Executive on behalf of our client located in Kitts Green who is a provider of freight management services across the UK and Europe.

You will be promoting the companies service across Air/Sea/Road freight, calling both lapsed and new prospect clients with a view to obtain an appointment for one of the business development managers to visit.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conducting 40 calls per day to lapsed customers from a mixture of databases with the intention of qualifying and uncovering new opportunities for the business development managers to quote
  • Securing business appointments over the telephone for business development managers to visit
  • Efficiently distribute spot quote requests to operational team and follow up once quoted to gain the job, or get feedback on price quoted.
  • Entering data on appointment created to the relevant BDM’s calendar. This is to include full address, Postcode and qualification information (what you found out on the call).
  • Ensure incoming mails are handled efficiently and that the mailer gets a response quickly.
  • Follow up all literature sent out by post/email, with a call, did you get our information, then push on to qualifying questions and push for appointment / spot quote.
  • Research and prospect for new customers via the internet, this could be as simple as googling a telephone number or email address/postcode
  • Assisting with getting pricing in for larger projects and deals created by the sales organisation. Asking existing approved suppliers for prices based on information we have gained from calls and meetings.
  • Using google/search engines, source new potential carriers for our carrier database and Identify key markets for them and entering into the database.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years experience within the freight forwarding sector OR come from a sales back ground with an excellent telephone manner and a hard working attitude with the determination to succeed.

Working Hours & Salary:

Monday – Friday 9am until 5.30pm

£18k – £21k (Dependant on experience) Plus bonus after the probationary period.

Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
