Job Description

We are seeking a part time Accounts Clerk on behalf of our client based in the Smethwick area of the West Midlands who are a well established high street Law firm.

The role will suit somebody who has legal finance billing experience and who is keen to work in a smaller mid-tier firm. The priority of the role is billing but you will also be expected to carry out general administrative duties from time to time.

Some of the responsibilities of the role are:-

  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
  • Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions and enter onto computer system
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports
  • Reconcile records with staff and managment, external vendors and customers

Skills required:-

  • Competency in all MS applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organisational skills along with verbal and written communications skills is essential
  • Attention to detail and able to multi-task
  • Minimum of 1 year experience required in a similar role

Hours – Part time – 20 hours over 5 x days per week (flexible)
